I might like to log the fight itself, just so I'm clear in my head how it all goes down, but if we don't, I'd still like to know the specifics.
Is Arthur NOT going to die? Would the job be to also kill Ariadne, but he gets aced before he can finish (which means he might come back to try and do so once he returns from the dead - not sure if you want a recurring threat like that), or will Ariadne's presence maybe throw him long enough to get himself aced? Will they be messing in Floyd's head at all, or does Arthur have some funky powers he'll use to confuse the issue?
Also, would Floyd get to know about the whole 'dreamjacking' thing or would, as I imagine, he'd just be pointed at them and set loose to shoot them without any backstory to it?
That's fine with me! I'm totally okay with logging the fight.
Ariadne is def not on the contract because the boys don't take her with when they dreamjack; she can mess with him, and Arthur has some paradox powers that he can use to mess with the issue, so Deadshot's got a lot working against him. Arthur won't die but he is gonna lose a fuckload of blood and basically his powers are going to trap him in limbo once he sleeps, so it'll look like death.
No background, though! Because we're still keeping the Dreamsharing stuff under wraps for now, if that's okay. However, Floyd can know that they sold some corporate secrets.
It's totally okay! Floyd wouldn't care that much about why he was being hired anyway - that only leads to moral conflict he hates dealing with.
So, cool! This works great, because I was already working on rationalizing how Floyd was going to deal with something that seemed like a total botch job, but if it's gonna look like he got the job done anyway, than bonus - I can focus more on the 'well, so that's what death's like' stuff. Excellente! This is all good stuff, and I look forward to getting mixed up with you guys.
Would they be coming after him once they're both back up and running, or are they not vengeful types?
Def offices, if he snipes it gives Arthur more time to bleed out. If he spots Arthur go down, he might stand and then Arthur would just be like oh FUCK no /gets up shoots back.
Well, unless Arthur would happen to have a long-range sniper rifle in his office, that probably wouldn't work, which is why I'm trying to reason it in my head why he should just pop out of the vents and make it up close and personal - so Ariadne's presence could throw him off, too.
It could be as easy as me saying 'Floyd's been surly lately and making it point-blank will help him vent a bit.' As much as he wouldn't admit to it, being adamantly apathetic as he is.
These things happen! So, hmmm...maybe he can't get a clear shot sniping because Arthur is saavy and also ex-CIA enough to not have a clear shot from any of his windows
The idea of Deadshot in a vent cracks me up though I'm so sorry.
Sounds good to me! And Deadshot's been in worse places than a vent, that's fer damn sure.
Maybe Floyd has to get up close because of how thick and strong the glass windows of his office are, so he's gotta blow that up first, and after that, he might as well just swing in and point-blank it. It's more actiony that way!
